The sterilized environment is the primary concern in performing a successful surgery in operation theatre which advantage the patient in short time stays in the hospital thus minimizing the expenses. Clean air in operation theatre is one of the primary concerns of performing surgery in a sterilized environment. Hence a series of experiments and advancements in technology for the sake of a clean environment greatly decrease the infection rate after the surgery. Laminar air flow, HEPA-filtered laminar airflow, and Ultraviolet light treatment or Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation are the technologies currently in use.
